In this case study, we explore how Scalyng helped Maven.pet overcome its data tracking challenges and improve its ability to collect accurate data about its website visitors

Introduction:

Maven.pet is a proactive pet health tracker to help pet parents ensure their pets live their best lives.

In this case study, we explore how Scalyng helped Maven.pet overcome its data tracking challenges and improve its ability to collect accurate data about its website visitors.

Client Challenge:

Maven.pet needed help to track its website traffic accurately. The company could only track around 30% of its traffic on Google Analytics (GA) and GA4, which made it difficult to gather accurate data about its website visitors. Additionally, Maven.pet's customer acquisition efforts across various platforms were not accurately tracked, making optimizing the campaigns and strategy challenging.

Approach:

Scalyng worked closely with Maven.pet to develop a plan to improve its data tracking capabilities.

We began by conducting a detailed audit of Maven.pet's existing tracking systems and identifying areas for improvement. We then worked with Maven.pet's development team to set up the data layer events structure for GA4 tracking through the Google Tag Manager (GTM) Server, which enabled Maven.pet to track 90% of its website traffic.

Additionally, we helped Maven.pet set up Facebook Pixel + Conversion API (CAPI), TikTok Pixel + CAPI, and Pinterest Pixel + Conversion API. These pixels allowed Maven.pet to track customer acquisition efforts accurately and optimize its marketing investments.

Results:

After setting up GA4 tracking through GTM Server and implementing the various pixels, Maven.pet saw significant improvements in its ability to track and analyze user behavior on its website and across all acquisition platforms. The company was able to gather more accurate data about its website visitors and enhance its customer acquisition efforts.

Maven.pet's data collection became more accurate, enabling the leverage of its AI models for customer acquisitions. With this newfound data accuracy, Maven.pet was able to share better data with the ad platform, which in turn helped them acquire more customers.
